Bowdon Coffee Roasters works to assure consistence of color and taste in every bag.

BCR prides itself in the exclusive roasting single origin coffee. Single origin roasting means that we don’t mix our colombian with lower priced, mechanically picked Arabica beans. Our colombian is 100% colombian from one location in Colombia. Our importers, we currently use three, work to assure quality, consistency, and fair return on investments for farmers, producers, and roasters.

Blends are fine for large, more experienced roasters who have the cupping and roasting technology but here at BCR what you get is a full pound of what the farmers put in the bags. The flavors you experience with our coffee mirror the same flavors the growers and producers enjoy each day.

We keep beans from every major coffee producing region in the world. Our offerings are as follows:

COLOMBIAN - Excelso Screen 16 "El Corazon": “Sweeter and more complex than standard Colombia coffees. It should have a round citric acidity, slightly syrupy body. It is great as a stand alone (at a lighter roast, or a darker roast) or as a component in a top notch blend.” - Cupping notes from Atlas Importers -

COSTA RICAN - SHB EP Tarrazu Santa Elena Estate: This is a private estate Tarrazu that offers exceptionally brisk citrus acidity and a perfectly clean finish.

SUMATRA - Aged Mandheling Gr. 1 DP: This aged coffee has deep molasses and aged wood tones with a pungent peat and tobacco finish. Often used as a kind of sub-woofer in a blend but is roasted to full city to assure the delicate nuance of this unique coffee. BCR’s is not a blend but 100% aged Mandheling.

SWP Colombian DECAF - Our decaf is a French roasted, single origin colombian coffee decaffeinated using the chemically free, Swiss-water process.
